Did it ever occur to you that each day is a series of decisions? Some of the decisions are inconsequential such as what to wear, what show you are going to watch on TV, etc. What about the more important decisions? I encourage you to think about whether you’re more important decisions are bringing you closer to or further away from your goals. If you are not achieving your objectives, it may be as simple as analyzing whether your decisions are moving you towards or away from your goals.
Ask yourself what kind of decisions are you making? Are you setting yourself up for success or failure?
Do you say to yourself that you want to be in shape, yet pass on going to the gym or eating healthy food? Do you say that you want to get ahead in your career and then try to get out of the office as soon as possible or put off getting more training or education? You may be sabotaging yourself.
Small decisions lead to big changes when you are consistent. Be conscious of the decisions which you are making. You might want to keep a journal on the small decisions which you are making and how they are leading you to or away from your goal.
What is your bottom line? Are you going for the easy, quick decisions or are you making the decisions that will make you glad that you stayed the course to realize your goals?
Take stock of your decisions. You will see which track you are on and be able to correct your trajectory, if necessary. Ask yourself “Am I just making decisions based on what I feel like doing at the moment or am I making decisions that will lead me to the future of my dreams?” Your future is really yours to create. Reality can surpass your dreams if you make consciously positive decisions.
