What Can One Person Do?

What Can One Person Do?

Have you even been confronted with a situation and wondered what could you do to make it better? Do you ever ask yourself if you can make a difference?
If you continue to ask yourself what you can do to make a difference, nothing will happen. Many people ask themselves how they can make a difference. You may wonder what you can do in different situations. A lack of confidence often limits us in this area.
Who are we to step in to say or do something? Then again, who are we not to do so? Do you hesitate to act because you question yourself and lack confidence?
What difference can one person make? Looking at history, we see so many people who had the courage to take action and speak up or take action. Where would we be without Rosa Parks, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, the Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, and Mother Theresa?
These people saw a situation and jumped in to say and do things which ended up changing the course of history. Maybe you don’t feel that you can change the course of history, but just maybe you can make someone feel loved or valued, inspire someone else with your words or actions. You can cause a ripple effect that can affect your family, neighborhood, city, or country.
Don’t hold yourself back! If it occurs to you to say or do something that will right a wrong, inspire someone, or create peace in a conflict, go for it! What can one person do? Something great or nothing at all- the choice is yours. Don’t underestimate yourself!
