Do You Need to Reinvent Yourself?

Do You Need to Reinvent Yourself?

Is it time for you to reinvent yourself? Are you changing roles or careers and need to project a new image?
Realize that we are all multi-dimensional beings. We don’t have talents in just one area. We have many gifts, which we can use. What do you do when you are given a gift? Do you sit there and look at it or do you open it and use it? Reflect on this concept when pondering your own personal gifts.
We have many passions from which to draw. It’s great to be good at something, but we have to be passionate about it in order to feel happy and fulfilled. Hopefully, your talents and your passions can be incorporated into your reinvention.
We need to be aware of our strengths and weaknesses by either taking an assessment such as Strengths 2.0 or speaking to a coach or someone who can give you an objective opinion on your strengths and weaknesses. If you really like a field, but are not very strong in this area, you may end up frustrated.
You have to believe in yourself and surround yourself with people who are supportive when undergoing your reinvention. Break through any limiting beliefs you have, before forging ahead.
You need to establish your new goals and develop your mission statement and if something doesn’t work, tweak it, and follow through. Stay focused and be consistent in your efforts. Don’t make excuse, make a plan. Visualize what you want for yourself and how you want to be perceived.
Keep yourself motivated. Play music that makes you fell powerful. Dress like the powerful professional that you are. Make sure that your appearance matches the image which you choose to project.
Make yourself accountable to someone other than yourself. This person can be a coach, a trusted friend, or a business advisor.
Reinvent yourself as part of your journey. If you don’t reinvent, you can become stagnant. Reinvent, stretch, and grow for a fulfilling life!
